I'd Be Lying If I Said We Didn't Have Fun With This Lion

I've said it before; here it is again...

It doesn't take much to entertain the DiGi girls
(and apparantly Sherry also!)

On a recent stroll along the bayfront
we stopped at the foot of the Bridge of Lions
for a quick selfie or two...
or three or four or.....

Faithful,
thanks for adding to the fun of the evening,
and as soon as I find out whose cell phone
captured the picture of me and Hope with you,
I'll add that one also.

 Ladies, check your phones!

Day Out (w/Kids!)

What to do on a free Saturday
....hmmmm....

well, take up Sherry's offer to get the Grandkids together,
of course!!

There were trolley rides
where keen eyes kept a lookout for pirate ships!...

and where, apparently, Gabe tells very, very funny stories!...

A new version of cornhole was played...

and we had lunch at a fancy restaurant...

where they graciously provided "masks" for kids...
(Hey, they go on your laps, kids!)

Spiderman images were drawn...

...and little ones entertained the littlest one...

Wishes were made...

...and we finally found a place
to corral the kids in one spot for at least one minute...

It was a fun day, Sherry!

And we have to do it again soon!

I slept GOOD last night!
...how about you?!

The Gift of a Video!

I was looking through my videos searching
for a particular one
when I came across this.
An oldie but goodie.

Produced by Yuriko as a surprise for me
after a visit she made to
sunny St. A from rainy Seattle...

(Yuriko, I know you just went through a fabulous summer,
but we are on the threshold of fall,
so I think a sunshine trip may be in order for you!!)

So,
I thought this gift should be a part of this
blogjournal...

It contains appearances...

of some people special to me,

Storm and Angel, my animal friends,

a sweet reminder of our
deep sea fishing excursion!,

and a lovely pictorial of my home
and
the town that I love...

not to mention the excitement of "new shoes"!

I know I thanked you before,
but...

again.

These pictures represent sweet, sweet memories
that I cherish!

Fun Weekend with a Friend

here is one of the lovely transitions of life...
that someone I have known since their toddler days...

someone who has sat on the other side of a school desk from me

as handprint paintings were created for the walls,

Yea for the dolphin sighting....(can you find it?...lol)...

and
math problems were solved with ease,

songs learned in sign language for Sunday worship,

and
non-stop chatter continued...
 and continued...
and continued some more;

I so want to do this. Mish, bring Glory over!......

(Katherine, you were a chatter-bug!)

This same someone
can grow up into an accomplished, beautiful young woman

a fun-loving, world traveler,

who has evolved into a
friend

with stories to share,

world problems to solve,

both big and small.

What do we have in common, you may ask...
well,

God,
Gelato,
and Denzel...

need I say more

I can't wait to 'read' the next chapter of your life

Thanks for your gift of friendship.
It was such a fun weekend...
let's do it again!

P.S.
to protect the innocent,
I won't share the best quote of the weekend,
but the word "bachlorette" was involved.

Christa's Version of a Scenic Tour

Christa and I had
Lucas and Liv for the day,
so off we went for an adventure,
and
I turned the keys over to Christa...

Here is her tour of scenic historic St. Augustine...

When the paved road ends, keep on going...

Barricades! Now what?!?

"Uh, how DO you get out of here?!?

Turn around, obviously...lol

Christa,
I think you are definitely
off the beaten path!

At least now we know what street
NOT to turn down next time!

But at least now I know where a
 new graffiti wall
is next time I need one
 for a photo shoot!
