A Star for Our Angel

"Perhaps they are not stars,
but rather openings in heaven
where the love of our lost ones
pours through and shines
down upon us to let us know
they are happy."
~Eskimo Proverb

To commemorate this day
a star
has been named in Jayce's honor.

And not just any star,
but one in the constellation,

which contains the Little Dipper!

So, Christa & Robert,
whenever you glance up to the sky
and find that
very recognizable star formation,
just feel the love flowing down...
and let the happiness seep into your soul!

~~~
Since this really is a joint gift
for the two of you,
we officially declare today
Parent's Day!
Much Love from
Mom, Mish&Charlie, Jess&Peter, Rae&Joseph
Christa's Version of a Scenic Tour
Christa and I had
Lucas and Liv for the day,
so off we went for an adventure,
and
I turned the keys over to Christa...
Here is her tour of scenic historic St. Augustine...
When the paved road ends, keep on going...
Barricades! Now what?!?
"Uh, how DO you get out of here?!?
Turn around, obviously...lol
Christa,
I think you are definitely
off the beaten path!
At least now we know what street
NOT to turn down next time!
But at least now I know where a
 new graffiti wall
is next time I need one
 for a photo shoot!
For the Love of....Clover!
I'm a lover...
of weeds, apparently!
Give me a
field of clover,
and I'm a happy camper
       (bouquet compliments of Lucas)
Even Lucas has caught the weed fever.
A few days after we lamented the
mowers with a mower mowing
down our clover,
I get an excited call from Lucas..."NANA, NANA, come here. QUICK!"
and I rush out to the porch.
"LOOK, the CLOVER's BACK!"
(I think we may have done an Irish jig in celebration)
Clover
has a way of
 bringing people together...
Where else would the Easter
 "rabbit" lay its "eggs"
(somebody explain that please!?!)
than in a bed of
CLOVER...
...smart rabbit!...
...it knows the joy that a clover patch brings...!
Our cardinal even
stops by to compliment our field
Why else would he be chirping such a happy song?!
(ok, maybe the food under his feet has something to do with it,
Iut I'm sure the clover adds to his happiness!)
The moral of the story:
if you have these "weeds" growing in your lawn,
let them be...let them thrive.
They just might inspire a blog!
A Day Late...
A day late,
but the message is eternal....
an eight word sermon on the message of Easter...
Amen!
(Thanks Peter, Jess, Robert, Christa, Lucio, Carmen, Bethany for this "one word" message!)
Good Friday
The day is gray. misty.
An appropriate setting,
i would say,
as we contemplate
what today represents.
"He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that
brought us peace
 was on Him, and by His wounds
we are healed."
Isaiah 53:5
(Sequel coming Sunday!)
A Boy w/a Phone Camera
Yesterday,
Lucas, Livi and I
went on a neighborhood adventure.
I had forgotten that I gave Lucas
my phone at one point to take pictures if he wanted.
Then, later that night, when I remembered,
I checked my photo gallery,
and this is what I found...
I didn't even realize he was taking Liv's pictures
as I was busy snapping with my Canon...
I like his better!
